TOYOTA: ADVANCED DESIGN

Cunningham designed and directed several future-scenario, narrated short films showcasing advanced design concept scenarios, developed in tandem with a stellar team from Toyota's Advanced Product Strategy Division. Responsibilities included leading the vehicle design effort, and the hiring and adaptive management of a team including concept artists, industrial designers, writers, voice-over artists, and 2 visual effects teams.

We successfully established project scheduling benchmarks, man hour allocations over the multi-phase development process, and asset delivery timelines, while facilitating clear intra-team communication. The projects were presented directly to Toyota's president, Akio Toyoda, in the Toyota-Dome, and have successfully matured into multiple production projects for the company including the E-Palette, a hydrogen powered, omni-platform unit, designed for multiple transportation and commercial applications, set to debut at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.
